MARILYNN Semonick

As a student of human behavior with a passion for individual and organizational improvement, Marilynn Semonick, has spent 45 years assisting communities of people across 5 continents with their initiatives to create intentional, results-oriented change. An educator, international consultant, facilitator, coach, Certified Speaking Professional, and author of Aligning for Change: Collaborative Strategic Planning, Marilynn came out of retirement in response to municipalities requesting help in creating and sustaining high-functioning, civil, respectful leadership teams, with the ability to be productive and achieve results.

Marilynn Semonick is a dynamic force in leadership development, strategic facilitation, and professional speaking, with over 45 years of experience helping individuals, organizations, and communities create intentional, results-driven change. A Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), Marilynn has influenced thousands across five continents through her work as an educator, international consultant, facilitator, coach, and author of Aligning for Change: Collaborative Strategic Planning.

Marilynn’s expertise has been trusted by organizations such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Beaumont Hospital, Deloitte Consulting, Michigan State University, the American Management Association, and countless municipalities including the Cities of Traverse City, Midland, Muskegon, and Lansing. Marilynn has been deeply involved with the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the Professional Speakers Association of Michigan (NSA-MI) for decades, where her leadership left a lasting mark. She served as President of NSA-MI, founded the NSA-MI Past Presidents Council, and was the key architect of the Michigan Speakers Academy (formerly ProTrack). Nationally, Marilynn chaired the Meetings Industry Council, led the NSA Chapter Leadership Council, co-chaired the NSA Ethics Committee, served on the NSA National Board, and has been a trusted facilitator for numerous leadership and professional development initiatives. Her commitment to ethical leadership, professional growth, and community building earned her prestigious awards including the NSA-MI Charles Leadership Award and the President’s Leadership Award.
